Thought for the Day
There is far more natural gas left in the world than there is oil and it is economical to convert it to liquid form at $40 per barrel. This transfer is now occuring at an ever increasing pace.
We are not running out of oil. Peak oil only refers to "easy to get oil". Our politicians should concentrate their efforts on getting steady economic growth of 4% or 5% per year. The world economy is expanding at 4% or 5% - for the last six months of last year we managed zero, zilch, nothing ie 0%.

"Sustainable Development" Privileges the Few
The concept of Peak Oil always troubled me. Then Global Cooling followed by Global Warming followed by Climate Change worried me. Then Sustainable Development worried me.
What do these terms mean? Should I be worried? Well I am worried - not by the concepts as they appear to be nonsense - but by the people who are aiming for political control under the guise of saving us from these mysterious disasters.
Time for fresh air a little history and some common sense - a very rare thing indeed!
