New Today
Thanks to magnificent efforts by our Web Master, Malcolm Laird, and the generosity of our sponsors we have now installed our new Polling software and our new Forum where members can state their views and respond to others' opinions.
We hope that this will be a useful adjunct to our general education and assist us in electing a government that understands the primacy of Economic Growth in the well-being of the population.
TRY OUR POLL. WE ARE INTERESTED IN WHAT YOU THINK. TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THIS SITE.

COWBOY CAPITALISM: EUROPEAN MYTHS, AMERICAN REALITY
For some years now the Labour Government has had as its stated economic aim to get into the top half of the OECD. Not much progress has been made. It may be that our best hope of achieving this aim is to wait for "old Europe" to fall further down the scale to a point below us. Hardly a benefit for us I would have thought. In the meantime the rest of the world is not resting. Asian countries are still going flat out to increase their wealth - that is, the wealth of their citizens. As Deng Xiou Peng said, "To be rich is glorious." That is, rich citizens - not just a rich state.
In the meantime, France, Germany and Italy (currently in recession) are sticking with their large government, high tax method for obtaining the "good life". If their aim is for greater equality of income then compared with America they are achieving that goal. However, what is happening is that in America the rich are getting much richer but the poor are also getting richer and the end result is that they all seem to be getting much better off than their European counterparts.
This article is a discussion of a detailed book on the subject of the American way of life versus the European model.
We make our choices and then we must live with the result. [ Visit Website ]
