The Wealth of Generations: Capitalism and the Belief in the Future

The 22nd Annual John Bonython Lecture

So often we promulgate news of disasters, imminent destruction and economic shambles but if we take a broad view, things become more positive. This lecture at the Centre for Independent Studies in Australia recently should cause us to breathe a little easier and not to get down-hearted because some ignorant politician makes an incredibly short-sighted and stupid proposal.

Johan gives a wonderful new perspective of human economic success over the ages. We certainly could be doing a lot better than we currently are doing but despite local hiccups from time to time things have been steadily getting better for more and more of humanity - especially as socialism has been defeated!

So, don't worry - be happy!
