Thought for the Day

Ludwig von Mises wrote a book called Human Action.

All of economics is about humans interacting to improve their own conditions - to make themselves happier and Mises explains this process in precise detail.

No-one has ever proven his theories to be wrong.

I cannot fault them either.

But many people including myself have shown up the many flaws in current Keynesian based theories.

Soros does not mince words when he says: “The concept of a general equilibrium has no relevance to the real world." (In other words, Samuelson's economic model is an exercise in futility).

Modern economics is operating from a false base because the BIG Money masters operating the world money system pay handsomely for articles supporting their evil position. They also offer Nobel prizes for such false theories.

Ludwig's book explains what will happen:

“It is important to remember that government interference always means either violent action or the threat of such action. The funds that a government spends for whatever purposes are levied by taxation. And taxes are paid because the taxpayers are afraid of offering resistance to the tax gatherers. They know that any disobedience or resistance is hopeless. As long as this is the state of affairs, the government is able to collect the money that it wants to spend. Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men, of policemen, gendarmes, soldiers, prison guards, and hangmen. The essential feature of government is the enforcement of its decrees by beating, killing, and imprisoning. Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.”

“Credit expansion can bring about a temporary boom. But such a fictitious prosperity must end in a general depression of trade, a slump. The boom squanders through mal-investment scarce factors of production and reduces the stock available through overconsumption; its alleged blessings are paid for by impoverishment.”

“Credit expansion is the governments’ foremost tool in their struggle against the market economy. In their hands it is the magic wand designed to conjure away the scarcity of capital goods, to lower the rate of interest or to abolish it altogether, to finance lavish government spending, to expropriate the capitalists, to contrive everlasting booms, and to make everybody prosperous."

“There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as a result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved.”

Since Mises theories have always held in the past and they have never been successfully challenged I am prepared to believe them to be true until they can be shown to be false.

If your economist can show Mises theories to be false then I would like to know. So far in my search I have never even seen anyone attempt to show that Mises is wrong.

You personally have a choice about your future.

Either you believe Mises theories and act accordingly or you believe the immense propaganda machine called "Fake News" and trust the False theories.

Your future hangs in the balance.

The End of Empire

This article is written by Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist, New York Times best selling author, former professor at Princeton University, activist and ordained Presbyterian minister. He has written 11 books, including the New York Times best-seller “Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt” (2012), which he co-authored with the cartoonist Joe Sacco. His other books include "Wages of Rebellion: The Moral Imperative of Revolt," (2015) “Death of the Liberal Class” (2010), “Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle” (2009), “I Don’t Believe in Atheists” (2008) and the best-selling “American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America” (2008). His book “War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning” (2003) was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction and has sold over 400,000 copies. He writes a weekly column for the website Truthdig in Los Angeles, run by Robert Scheer, and hosts a show, On Contact, on RT America.

Hedges spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent in Central America, the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans. He has reported from more than 50 countries during his work for The Christian Science Monitor, National Public Radio, The Dallas Morning News and The New York Times, for which he was a foreign correspondent for 15 years.

Hedges was part of a New York Times team of reporters awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 2002 for coverage of global terrorism. He also received the Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism in 2002.

Hedges speaks Arabic, French and Spanish and studied classics, including ancient Greek and Latin, at Harvard University.

Hedges has taught at Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University and the University of Toronto. He currently teaches a class through Princeton University at a state prison in New Jersey where half of the students are Princeton undergraduates and half are prisoners.

Hedges began his career reporting on the Falklands War from Argentina for National Public Radio. He went on to cover the wars in El Salvador and Nicaragua for five years, first for The Christian Science Monitor and National Public Radio and later The Dallas Morning News. After six years in Latin America, he took time off to study Arabic. He spent seven years in the Middle East, most of them as the bureau chief for The New York Times. He left the Middle East in 1995 for Sarajevo to cover the war in Bosnia and later reported the war in Kosovo. Afterward, he was based in Paris as part of the team covering al-Qaeda and global terrorism. He left the Times after receiving a formal reprimand from the newspaper for publicly denouncing the George W. Bush administration’s invasion of Iraq.

In 2012, Hedges successfully sued President Barack Obama over section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act, which overturned the 1878 Posse Comitatus Act, prohibiting the military from acting as a domestic police force. Section 1021 gives the military the authority to indefinitely detain and deny due process to U.S. citizens who are branded by the state as terrorists. The decision was overturned on appeal by the Obama administration. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the ruling, known as Hedges v. Obama, in 2014.

Hedges holds a B.A. in English literature from Colgate University and a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard University. He spent a year studying classics at Harvard as a Nieman Fellow. He was awarded an honorary doctorate from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, Calif. In 2014 he was ordained as a minister for social witness at the Second Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, N.J. The theologian James Cone, the father of Black Liberation Theology, preached the sermon along with Cornel West. The ordination was approved for his work in New Jersey prisons where Hedges has taught college credit courses for nearly a decade.

Hedges, who was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., and grew up in a small farm town in upstate New York where his father served as a Presbyterian minister, lives in Princeton, N.J. He is married to the Canadian actress Eunice Wong, with whom he has two children. He has two children from a previous marriage.

China & Russia Positioning To Collapse US Dollar As Global Financial War Heats Up

This is why the Deep State of the USA is preparing for war.

The alternative is to admit that paper money doesn't work and that the rest of the world has the right to use a money of their own choosing.

The only choice for nations who want freedom for themselves is to go back to using REAL Money - gold and silver.

This will happen because Russia and China combined are just too big and powerful for America. Other nations like Iran, Syria, Brazil, India, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, much of Asia, and a host of the 'Stans along the One Belt One Road economic growth bloc are recognising this shift in power officially.

The world is poised between a wonderful prosperous century and total devastation brought on by the Deep State of America.

If you have any interest in your future happiness and prosperity then speak out now.

As I have been saying - Read Sun Tzu's book, The Art of War.

While America has been conducting "Regime Change" around the world on the way to total control over all nations the Chinese have concentrated on winning the war.

The REAL War.

And I believe that the REAL War is now won.

Unless the US starts a shooting war which they cannot win but which may be the end of humanity.

10 Most Influential People in the Alternative Media (2011)
Many readers will expect to see Matt Drudge or Arianna Huffington on this list. Although they both indeed have leading Internet news websites that cover some fringe stories and report on systematic injustices more so than the mainstream media, they primarily aggregate mainline news. Therefore, they are excluded from our “alternative media” label.

The criteria we’ve chosen to base these rankings of the most influential alternative media figures are the following;

- people that have the courage to seek the truth no matter where the information leads them;
- those with the courage to question 9/11;
- those who don’t buy into the false left-right political paradigm;
- those who are grounded in peace and liberty;
- those with the communication skills and platform to affect real change.

Significantly, each of the people who made our list is clearly driven by unyielding passion. Despite some natural disagreements, they each provide a unique bridge to forbidden knowledge and they all deserve high praise for their efforts and commitment to inform the public. Sincerely, it is very encouraging to have so many talented voices leading the stampede for truth, liberty, justice, and peace.

With so many people doing great work in the real alternative media, we are sure that some deserving reporters will be left off the list. Although Activist Post has forged relationships with some of the people on this list, we’ve tried to remain as non-biased as possible in our observations. At the end, we’ve also included a list of those who deserve honorable mention for their tireless work and talent providing the truth.

10. Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: Paul Craig Roberts is one of the most respected columnists in the alternative media. His syndicated articles can be seen on many leading alternative news websites including Lew Rockwell, Infowars, Counterpunch, InformationClearingHouse and countless others. Roberts scores huge points in the credibility department having been the former head of policy at the Department of Treasury under Reagan, and an editor of the Wall Street Journal — among a long list of other accolades. His research is impeccable and his vision of how the world really operates is second to none. He knows why and when the global chess pieces are moving, and has the incredible talent to communicate difficult concepts to the general public. He has written several books including The Tyranny of Good Intentions and How the Economy was Lost. His many interviews can be seen on Russia Today and Prison Planet TV. Roberts is also a recent contributor to Gerald Celente’s esteemed Trends Journal. There is no one better at reporting the reality of geo-political events and the workings of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve.

Over 3 Million Acres Damaged by ‘Chemical Arson’ as Plants Wither and Die From Chemical Burns

Jacqueline Rowarth, Chief Scientist of the Environmental Protection Authority, recently wrote a Listener article entitled 'Chemical Imbalance'.

She wrote: "In the face of public anxiety about synthetic chemicals, scientists are working on a "green and sustainable chemical future."

She claims that we are suffering from "Chemophobia" and that "chemicals are recognised as enabling healthier lives by improving agricultural yields and slashing the incidence of preventable disease. In short, and in contrast to chemophobic anxieties, life has never before been healthier . . ."

Perhaps Ms Rowarth would like to read this article about the havoc being created for farmers in the USA by the application of chemicals to crops.

Then she can explain to us all how links to Non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer is good for us.

How can she just blithely dismiss all the evil that is being hammered on farmers and populations around the world by the evil poisons manufacturers?

As the Chief Scientist of our Environment Protection Authority she has many serious questions to answer.

Then our government can explain to us all why we should join up to the TPP and make ourselves liable for any loss in profit that the world's most dangerous poisoners might experience in New Zealand when we all march in the streets and demand a clean green NON-chemical future for ourselves and our children.

Remember that just because something is made to be legal doesn't mean that it is right or a good thing. After all, everything that Hitler did was legal.

China Is Worried The World Is At Risk Of Seeing An Economic Apocalypse

Can China bring the world to its senses?

The world of paper currencies is approaching hyperinflation and a total collapse.

Can we avoid this by moving with China to a new gold standard.

Gold is the way that humans have been relating the value of goods to their price for millennia.

You will notice that Economics 101 shows no curiosity about the value of goods and services. Only the price is important to Keynesians.

I find this very curious!

"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air – however slight – lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.”

Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas.

"The illegal rigging of the price of gold in the futures market is deemed by the U.S. government to be essential to the success of its economic policy; just as illegal torture, illegal military invasions and attacks on sovereign countries, unconstitutional violation of habeas corpus, unconstitutional spying on U.S. citizens, and illegal and unconstitutional murder of U.S. citizens by the executive branch are essential to the U.S. government’s war on terror."
