Higher Taxes: a Threat to Competitiveness
One of the things that concerns us greatly is the fact that our standard of living is now 30% lower than our mate's standard in Australia. And we are still dropping.

We also know that reducing the tax and compliance costs on business and individuals will increase our growth rate and we may be able to catch up with Australia. Jim Anderton now seems to agree with us on this point!!!

But, what are the Aussies doing? Are they standing still? Are their taxes and compliance costs low or high? Are they going to stand still and let us catch up?

Not bloody likely, mate!
